![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: The books you use... Yo Fella's....Michael Sachs' Fundamentals book has Clarke, Arban, Schlossberg and Stamp stuff in it.....You get four books all in one with it. It's all about efficiency, my brotha's! If you get that then you don't have to practice ANYTHING else, and you can play in the Cleveland Symphony. Another group of books that are good are by Chris Gekker. It's like Clarke, but not as boring. He's only got four books out, so you could still get the Michael Sachs Book (he's my favorite classical player), or you could get a lip slur book like Bai Lon. Just to let you all know....I can get you all copies of this good stuff. I'm selling them out of the trunk of my car for $5 a book. You could also get your girl a nice "Goochi" bag while you're visiting me. Only $40! (while supplies last). Love, Huggy Daddy

Schuebruk wrote a number of short (and cheap!) little pamphlets, and the Trumpeter's Daily Stunt has bits and pieces of all of them. Intervals, flexibility, tonguing, dynamics, etc and is a 20 minute workout for the working trumpeter. We can think of Schuebruk as a multi-vitamin, and Mitchell as complete balanced snacks. (For meals we eat raw meat and bits of violists.)
