Mikey is on a distinguished road
Not surprised if Yamaha made him an artist model piece. I know that Hagstrom has one, and Bob Sullivan too. I suppose we will have to wait a bit for them to be available to the general public. Last time I checked with Parke, they had no Merkelo stuff in stock.

Well, you could just right click on my avatar and choose "save picture as".

But, I'll do you one better. The original image is animated, however it is just 2kb too big to use for an avatar. But that doesn't mean I can't put it in my signature, right?? heh.

I was going to "save pic as", but I thought the original jpg might be bigger, that is why I asked. Thanks for putting the animated version in your signature. Knowing what skit it comes from, it cracks me up every time I see it!

Let me join the chorus of bravos for Chris Martin for the Mahler 5 at Carnegie. Never heard it played with more panache and style. Never was more relaxed and confident listening to a live performance waiting for the solo trumpet to fall off the high wire without a net below. And NEVER saw a solo bow before the full orchestra's bow. It was a privilege to be in the hall that night.
