   | Concerto Recordings Anyone have a recording or know of where i could a recording of the Pakmatova Trumpet Concerto or the Turrin Concerto? I have heard the pakmatova performed once at a doctorate recital a few years ago but i dont have a recording of it. It's a really great piece, hard to find a recording though. Can anyone help me point me in the right direction?

| The Pakmutova is on a recording with Bibi Black called "Soviet Trumpet Concertos" (CHAN #9668) with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra. The Turrin Concerto was on a cd in limited release through the NY Philharmonic - check out www.josephturrin.com for the exact name of it (with Leinsdorf/Phil Smith) - don't know if it's still available... |
