Agreed, both the "top 50 excerpts" and the hickman published books are great!

The CD complete orchestral parts are nice, however I occasionally run by many misprints.

My first excerpt book was the Trumpet Audition Excerpt book by Phil Norris. He has some great text about history and horn recommendations. It also pairs really nicely with the Phil Smith audition excerpt CD
