Some of you may remember that in 2002 & 2003 I arranged the Haydn and Hummel Concertos into the key of Bb concert. These were, for the soloist, literal transpositions that facilitated learning solo as it would be played on Eb trumpet and eliminated the range issues some of us encounter. I did not "water down" the solo part although the piano part was altered a fair bit (simplified).

I have now re-done the concertos, as well as the Michael Haydn concerto and the Ernst Sachse Concertino, again into the key of Bb concert. I have also modified all of the solo parts, leaving out some of the thornier fingerings and large leaps. These pieces should work very well for solo and ensemble contests for advance middle schoolers and up, or just fun works to play for us more "mature" members of the trumpet society.
