Great Openers

Hello all,
I am going to be giving a recital in the middle of October and can't quite decide what piece to open with. I have contemplated the Purcell Sonata in D but i am not 100% sold on it. This is a 2 part question.

A) What pieces in general do you think are great openers?

B) Should you consider the other pieces on the program when choosing.

The recital will include:
Concerto-Planel
Concerto-Neruda
Cousins-Clarke

All thoughts are welcome.

Re: Great Openers

Martini's Toccatta should knock people's socks off quite nicely, and is fun, too!
