Re: Haydn Concert with Eb or Bb?

Julian
If your Eb is in tune with the 1 1/2C AND sounds good - don't mess with success!
Whether there is a better match or not has something to do with the holy grail - we need to ask King Arthur first!
Seriously, if your present mouthpiece works well and you are not playing the Eb on a very regular basis, consider yourself fortunate!

Re: Haydn Concert with Eb or Bb?

Yeah, that's true. I talked to my teacher for a long time today about sound concept when it comes to the Eb, I think I was just trying to make it sound like a Bb...and like her said, "If you want to sound like a Bb, play a Bb." Ha, makes sense to me. I feel alot better about it now. But I think I'm still going to try some different mouthpieces with it that he recommended just for the sake of trying.
