Re: Haydn, Trumpet Concerto

your probably right, tought it cant be hidden under the carpet that some pieces thats actually quite hard, doesnt sound hard at all, and vice versa.

Im playing in a orchestra/band and been playing Tocca Tarrantella, Blue rondo alla turk, Anitras Dance, Lascia chio pianga?, to the summit, The rap, Gammel jegermarsj etc. etc.

dunno if any of those rings any bells?

wait...Emeril plays trumpet? Shouldn't someone formally invite him into the TM community. We could use some good recipes here....

Not to defend trumpet tabs, I just now became aware of their existance. Upon examining the examples, it looks like a quick,
dirty, and crude way to encode a tune with ASCII, ommitting rhythmic properties. I suppose if you were in a jam to take a tune down in dictation and just had a napkin to scribble on (no manuscript paper) it might have limited value. A dump of midi code
would be somewhat similar with every note being an event with pitch, duration, volume, timbre, etc properties.

Watch for the new Arban's edition in tab notation!
