Good luck
WOOOOHA - Slow down Bloomin! There is a lot of wisdom in your post. I would read your first post more as if you are having trouble, do not just keep repeating it. This is a lesson often ignored. My take is, if your are practicing incorrectly, no amount of increase in practice time is going to get a positive solution. We need to learn to play SMART.

In this case, with 8 weeks until the performance, we need a special routine which can also serve as a model for future challenges. I am not sure how old one is when Grade 8 comes up, but the Haydn is somthing to play when you are ready, and that means not having to cram new skills into a too short period of time. I prefer to hear music being made, not a struggle to stay afloat! There are so many pieces of varying technical difficulty. I never seem to have problems finding suitable stuff for my students (or helping them pick something suitable for themselves).
