Re: My First Orchestra-Like performance

As usual, John... your enthusiasm and attitude are exemplary and inspiring. I'm glad you had an opportunity to see what this stuff we play all the time is about. I look forward to hearing about future experiences with different groups.

Be well,

ML

John- Thanks for sharing that! I always find your enthusiasm highly contagious. Looks like you really had a blast...no pun intended (well, maybe a little bit...). Good for you! Too bad those long slidey things are in the way of seeing you!

Re: My First Orchestra-Like performance

Wow I'm really humbled by the responses that this post has received.

I almost felt duty bound to share this with you; my online trumpet playing family.

When I view that clip I still can't believe that I'm in it. Don't get me wrong I'm far to critical of my own playing to think for a minute that was top notch playing; but for me it was in a word: wonderful!

Thanks for all the kind words you all have made my day!

John

I'm the big slightly balding guy in the middle with what you might call a little bit of a weight problem!

Here's a picture from the service. I'm to the right in the shot wearing glasses with a go-tee.

NICE JOB John!

I wish I could have made it.

I hope you had a good trip back home.

I had a blast with you at the swing band rerhearsal! Sorry (not really) about having you play the book!

Keep playing buddy!
