Nicely done, Russ! Do you have a recording of the Britten Fanfare? I'd love to hear it, it's a cool piece. Good luck in your future projects!

Re: My recent Senior Recital...it's done!!

Chas, I sure do. I'll see if I can get it to post on my MySpace(song limit is 6, I think) or, if you want a direct email, just PM me and let me know. I got to play 2nd part on that one, the bouncy 6/8 part. (I flubbed the first 3 notes, but hey, it happens, I guess...) I might also post Ewazen Mvt. II from our Honors Recital that I played on Tuesday...I think it sounds better than the one that's on there now.

I hope that the school I'm sending the CD to likes it a lot. Anyone have any idea what kind of letter I should send with it? Should I simply say, here's the CD, hope you enjoy it? Or would some prefer a letter enclosed, somewhat reflecting how I felt about the performance, and then the 'enjoy it'?

I'm new at this part of things, so I'm not sure. Thanks again, Chas, for the nice words. I know there are some bad cracks in there, but the more I think about it, the more I still like the recording, based off of tone quality, and style...I know there are lots of things to work on, but hey, that's what I'm here for.

Russ

Tracks can also be bought and downloaded now, for 99 cents a track. I know probably nobody here will do it, but it's worth a shot. :)

Well, looks like I've got a few friends on my new MySpace Music page...it's pretty cool. I hope that anyone out there that's a teacher or performer can take a few minutes and give me a bit of feedback. I look forward to it. I'm sending the CD off tomorrow, most likely, for Graduate School scholarship money...
