Play the top line on C trumpet.
Its not ont he surface a difficult piece, but it might take a lifetime to make it sound the way you want it to sound.

I've always thought that many of Satie's piano works would make great small group jazz tunes--think late 1950s Miles. Every time I listen to Gymnopedie I can't help but here Miles' muted playing on Ascenseur Pour L'échafaud. Good find!

Thats an interesting idea also, you will find lots of Saties pieces on that web site.
