![]() | Re: NY Philharmonic Audition I know it is different in other places, but the reason NY Phil listens to everyone is that they don't want to miss out on anyone. I was the perfect example, because just 2 months before NY Phil, I sent in my resume to a pretty major orchestra. I was not granted an audition, even after I submitted a tape. At my time of auditioning, my resume didn't have anything very impressive, so I am fortunate that they allowed me the chance to be heard. Good luck to everyone! |

![]() | Re: NY Philharmonic Audition I have to say to listen. You can be playing perfectly, great tone, right with the conductor, and be absolutely wrong. In the words of one of my colleagues, "You aren't here to play with Maestro ********, you are here to play with the New York Philharmonic." |
