![]() ![]() | Maybe my beer memory isn't as good as I thought... I've never been to Germany, but when I was in London 2 years ago there were no advertisements for "Budweiser," just "Bud." I asked why and they told me that it was because of the trademakk dispute. If you're in the mood for a good Pilsner, try Pilsner Urquell. mmm... -Jimi

![]() | I'm pretty sure you're right Jimi, there is currently a dispute going on over the advertsing for the World Cup in Germany. AB will be using "Bud" for all stadium advertising as they are not allowed to use the Budweiser name in Germany. I think both AB and BB (Czech company) are allowed to use the name in London but only AB can use it in the US, thus the Czechvar name. Who cares what it's called anyway, this is great - trumpets and beer: 2 of my favourite things! Simon |
