Which companies are those? BIS? They do quite well and have a wonderfully varied catalog. Deutsche Gramophon? Same thing. Teldec is another big one. Even Virgin and Sony Classical have large chunks of their catalogs that are not reserved for "the standards."

The discourse here is interesting.
I think we all can agree that Ms. Helseth did a very good job and that this CD will be instrumental in getting her name out to the masses. It is obviously designed to be a money maker and I am sure it will succeed at that. Whether she has the stuff to become the next Susan Slaughter or Carole Dawn Reinhart, we will have to see as only time can tell!
My only point is that for ME the reading better have something to offer if only standards are presented. This CD has none of that.
