| New Friend | Best Cities? What are some of the best cities to perform and make a good living playing trumpet? I have been woundering this for a while. What places do you think are the most trumpet friendly? Were is the best places to find gigs, performances, recording and jam sessions? Tom. |

There are other cities though that have some studio work and have pretty good "live music " scenes, Dallas is a good example, there is a fair amopunt of recording work there and a pretty good live scene. There is a lot of live music in Miami also. It is funny that some really large cities have almost no live jazz or any other music (trumpet related) to speak of. Of course , we are talking freelance here ,not symphony players that have a contract position. | |
