Yes, the kid is quite talented. His father is Paul Lindsay, he teaches at the Navy School of Music in Norfolk, VA. I studied with him for a few months, I'm in the Marine Band. He really is an awesome guy, a great teacher, player(he got his masters from Julliard) and father. The whole family is musical, his wife plays horn, his daughter the tuba, and his other son the trombone. He told me that he pretty much just gave his son one lesson a day for about 15 min. when he became interested in the trumpet, teaching him totally by ear at first. He's working classical too, but jazz is his passion. You should hear his father play as well, the man definately knows his way around the trumpet.
