| I went over to iTunes and listened to samples of "A Thousand Kisses Deep." It is a great sound. I am with Joe Cool, the mute isn't necessary (the mute was designed to allow the brass to mix better withe saxes). But I did not like the heavy backbeat drumming. With the traditional jazz drumming on some of the cuts, it was great. But the constant thumping of the bass drum was too much for me. It sounded to much like hip-hop drumming and distracted from the playing. I really liked "My Funny Valentine" with only the piano in the background. I guess that is why I like iTunes, you can buy the tracks you want and skip the others. M&C |

| Mezzo Piano User | I'm not a fan of the programmed drumming. It does give the album it's own 'space' though and I do enjoy his playing. I saw him a couple weeks ago opening for Sting in Atlantic City, and I enjoyed that more. He's better live, and with a kick-ass drummer. gregc |

| Chris botti is the best trumpet player around today. He doesn't play cliches, he has a great sound, and he is a nice dude. The total opposite of many "modern" trumpeters. Check out the new one. "When I fall in love." It's his best work yet. |
