Ah man I cannot believe you are asking me that only cause it is such a long story.....but since you asked here it goes. I have an Olympus and an Holton MF st-308. I notice a Phaeton on ebay which catches my eye, I really want this horn. I contact the seller and I tell him (out of haste and impatience) that I will trade my Olympus and Holton for his Phaeton, he agrees and transaction takes place. ps I have sinced sold my Phaeton and now play the Bach 37. Honestly for my level of playing the Phaeton even though a beautiful instrument was to advanced for me I can do more with the Strad. ok lets do the math...rough figures: 1530 for holton 1700 roughly for Olympus before Zachary raised prices. Jeezes so you mean to tell me I payed over 3 grand for the phaeton and sold it for $980!!! Ok thats it I am keeping my bach and playing it untill I am dead and gone!!!!!

I just want to say how great it was that everyone chose to support instead of condemn....

I participate in several other forums (motorcycles, cycling and one other trumpet forum) and I must say it's refreshing to see most everyone choosing the right side of the"force". We could have all just gone bonkers on Deceey, but we didn't. And Deceey was.. well, rather diplomatic in how he spoke his peace... it just seemed to push his buttons and he wanted to say so...

Nick, I didn't get to see your posts before you deleted them. But I too feel we all need to support each other as much as possible. I wish there was more I could do other than to purchase CD's, attend recitals and concerts of those that are still in the "professional fight".

Deceey, you too should be congratulated for not jumping in after your post. It could have gotten messy.

Please don't misunderstand me... I just think we are doin' pretty well here on TM!

As far as the group hug... "yo man, watch those hands!!!"

Nick,

I love it when you post and let us know of an update. I visit your site regularly and can't wait to get a copy of the CD!

You've got the stuff man, don't let anyone tell you they don't like it that you let us trumpeters know when you've done something GREAT!

Thanks again for the kind words, all. To Deecy, thanks for offering you opinion. I'm sure we can all leanr from it.

Peace, man!

Nick, you are not responsible for acting on other's opinions. I can't see a reason why you shouldn't 'unedit' your original posts.

Also, I have yet to read any of your posts where I felt you were trying to push anything on anybody.

Nick,

You have the right to post and share information within the guidelines of the site.

Deecy,

You are free to offer any opinion you wish within the guidelines of this site.

Everybody,

I'm sorry Nick felt he had to take his posts down. I thought they were within the spirit of sharing his enthusiasm for his hard work. I also happen to think it takes guts to lay it on the line by exposing one's self to potential criticism from anonymous posters.
