I'd be happy with that sound, listen to it out front.

Who's complaining? Maybe have them post their complaints instead of doing it without benefit of identity.

Roger has an excitment to his sound that few others have.

Check out an album called "Chairman of the Board" its a Basie album. Best lead playing there is. Snooky Young is all over it.

Chairman of the Board is a great album. Snooky is definately one of my favorites. I've learned a lot about lead playing by listening to him. As far as favorite sounds go young Maynard will always be at the top of my list. I'd also love to have Wayne Bergerons sound. He makes it sound so effortless. And the guy has got to have the biggest A's in the business. He's just incredible.

For ' something in between' you may want to listen to Earl Gardner om Tom Harrells bigband CD?

I think he's right on top of it in terms of sound and focus / projection.
And sheer beauty and elegance...
