What size MP do u use most often? - Page 2

ya know, I've always just picked up something and played it... It's be neat to get a lesson with someone "who knows" and get them to check out my facial structure, my playing, etc and get a mpc/equip setup for me... Although, I must say I'm happy with my current gear, but like most trpts I don't mind playing around the fire so often.

Lighten up, okay? The man said he used a Schilke eleven for 20 years. All I'm saying is if it worked for 20 years, why change now? It's a great MP, and the best advice coming from the best players has always been, " unless it's an absolute dog, play the mouthpiece you started with and don't go off into the wild blue yonder searching for a better one."

How much time have we all wasted looking for that magic solution?

Still use an old no number York on my cornets and a Bach 1 C, which is nearly identical to the York on trumpet. I have used these pieces for so long before my 45 year hiatus that the silver is totally gone from the rim of each of them. I never saw any reason to change. Still don't.
