| Pianissimo User | I got In My Time by the Gerald Wilson Orchestra and have been listening to that almost nonstop. I also got On an Island by David Gilmour, and I have to admit it's better than I though it would be, certainly better than The Division Bell. |

| John Coltrane (have to run back to the car to find out which one) Faure Requiem and Cantique du Jean Racine (Cantique is such a gorgeous choral number) Rush (one of their "Best of"s...I think) Renee Fleming (she's performing with our symphony this weekend) Mahler 5 (Bernstein/VPO) Shostakovich 11 (heard on NPR's SymphonyCast this weekend...incredibly moving!) several versons of Mozart Requiem (I couldn't digest some of the interpretations and the balance) Queen (always fun to listen to) |

| I am waiting for the arrival in the mail of the Grammy-nominated CD, "Brooklyn Ritual" by John McNeil and Kenny Berger. Once I get it, I guarantee that I will be listening to it many times. It will be in the CD player very soon! Right now, I am listening to Pamela Fleming’s “Fearless Dreamer.” I’m getting goose bumps listening to this great recording! |

| I saw Chris Botti on TV -- twice. Once on Martha Stewart's show where, after wallowing in her disingenuous praise he played --and stunk - - - and once in a televised concert. It was all I could take. Not because his playing was bad (it wasn't) but because he's so terribly corny. He had a rather undistinguished male vocalist come on after he took a solo and the guy had a really mediocre voice and style but Chris Botti watched him intently the whole time shaking his head in disbelief at this unbelievably immense talent. It was so embarrassing! After the guy worked his way through the first chorus I simply couldn't take anymore of Botti's ego trip and said --- Goodbye! T. |
