Jim, I always knew you were a bit off! Actually, I am in a fog most of the time, so that probably helps. We both started at about the same time and I have done all those things mentioned in this thread at one time or another, depending on the horn and mute combination over the last 1/2 century and dropped my share in embarassing situations. As I recall, at our last concert dress rehearsal some trombone dropped one, now those do make a noise.
