Re: Flight Cases (Pelican)

Jim McCombs at Dillon Music recently designed a flight case. Give them a call, it may be what you are looking for.

Re: Gard bags

Just noticed this thread. I have worked closely with the Gard bags the last couple of years and they now make what I would consider to be one of the most versatile and reasonably priced rolling cases on the market. The biggest change we made over the first generation cases that appeared here a few years ago was to make the inner shell adaptable for different horns instead of three standard trumpets. Now, the barriers can be moved to fit three trumpets, or two full sized trumpets and flugel. I have even put flugel, c, b flat AND my piccolo (in seperate soft case placed on top of flugel) in the Gard wheelie and traveled confidently with it since it fits in overhead bins and never leaves my side. I will be updating my website in the next week or so to include more complete photos of the Gard bag (and other new stuff like mouthpieces, etc.). I will also include a list of critical tips learned over the years about travelling with horns...more soon...in the Frankfurt airport right now!!!

PS Also check out the German website for more current püictures of the triple Wheelie bag.
