Re: Gig Bags

ive seen several gig bags that look very functional and reasonably priced, but i dont know that i would feel comfortable keeping my horn in a softbag just doesnt seem very protective.

Thnx, but imo RB's are much nicer except the double trumpet bag. But mostly they're just copies of RB. :)

I think it mainly depends on your behaviour. They can be protective enough if you don't play baseball with ur bag...
But seriously if u don't trust 'em just buy a torpedo or a marcus bonna case.

Thanks for setting me straight!! I didn't know that.

How I wish there were a warning signal that prior to saying something that is wrong, incomplete, or would give someone a wrong impression, that signal would go off!!

Thanks Again,

Re: Gig Bags

I've used Gard gig bags for a few years now and I really like them. Currently I'm using a trumpet/flugel wheelie bag. It also comes with backpack straps and an over the shoulder strap. It has a nice sized pouch on the outside for accessories. I got mine at dillon Music in Woodbridge, NJ. You can order from their website too. Other big name stores carry them as well.

I am very careful when I use a gig bag and I still get little pings when I use a gig bag. (I have a triple gig bag and only use it when I need/want 3 horns with me)

Take care about that do not let anything free in your bag... I think those pings could came from a runaway pencil, mouthpiece, etc. If you don't plump down your bag to anything and there're no things that could runaway maybe the UFO's did those pings.

Re: Gig Bags

The GIG bag people also make cases, I have one I think it is great, very protective and has lots of room (I am not talking about the flimsy kind they make, those ones are pointless)
they are at woodwind brasswind.
I also have a pro-tec contour it is very protective but not to much room.

Re: Gig Bags

Those torpedos offer good protection but the are Big. Leave no room for accessories. And you can only carry one trumpet.
