Re: Gig Bags

I suspect that tatakata does not own a Torpedo Bag. In an effort to keep the record straight:

There is PLENTY of room for accessories. The interior lid has space for mouthpieces, valve oil, cell phone, and such, there is a pencil pocket with room for at least three pencils and maybe some other item on the music pouch, and the mute bag has a ton of room. You could fit a small dog in there. For the record.

They're not all that big--for the protection, it can't compare to any other. The nylon weighs only 7 pounds, which is one pound LESS than the Bach standard brown single cases, and the Torpedo is much smaller than those.

Also, I am working feverishly to get the double TorpeDUO(tm) on the market. Look for it at the end of summer, but watch for the Pic Pocket(tm) even sooner--the protoype is almost done, and it will clip to all existing Torpedo Bags.

Re: Gig Bags

ive really been a fan of the way the pro-tec standard is made. the protection is good and there seems to be a ton of room in the spare compartment. couple of my friends have them, i just havent decided what im going to go with. my yamaha case is a real pita trying to carry my music, books, trumpet and other crap across campus.

Yes, the case has a compass.
There is going to be a case with GPS built in for the New Music specialists in NY.
