How about this old Conn mouthpiece?

Got this baby with a 1926 Conn 2(?) trumpet at a yard sale a few years back. All it says on it is "Conn C".

It seems like my range and endurance ain't what they ought to be. Trouble consistently getting 3rd line D and above and can't play for more than about 1/2 hour per day. Is it time for a new mp? Suggestions? Somebody told me a Bach 3C is the ticket. My lips are about average to thin size and thickness. Here they are. Please scuse the stache.

Re: How about this old Conn mouthpiece?

Stebinus,
if your range and endurance aren't up to snuff, a new mouthpiece is the last thing that you need. There is only one solution for your problem and it has nothing to do with hardware.

If you have 30 minutes a day, 5 minutes long tones, 10 minutes of slurs, 5 minutes of technical stuff and 10 minutes of tunes. The pencil trick can build strength when you are in the car on the way to work. Make sure that the 30 minutes is VERY concentrated!!!!!! If you are having trouble with 3rd line D your breathing is off for sure. Do a search here on "circle of breath". That will tell you what you need to know.

I let my mustache get that long sometimes, but always manage to pinch a hair which hurts.
