![]() | Thanks for all the advice. It has been quite frustrating. I have learned over the years of playing my other Monette mouthpieces that body tension is a real negative. Having said that I know that I'm not completely tension free and I wondered if that would have an effect on the prana. I do tend to angle the horn down but not to a extreme by any means. I have a slight over bite and that's the reason for the amount of downward angle that I do use. I know it's difficult to play with less and less pressure on the mouthpiece. I think most of us growing up compensated for inability etc by adding pressure. That's a very diffiicult habit to break. I struggle with that especially since I play lead in a large church orchestra and sometimes getting those high notes after playing for a couple hours isn't the easiest thing to do and remain pressure free. Not knowing for sure if that would be a big negative with the prana I'm speculating here. Is that one of the stumbling blocks? As far as are they worth it. I have noticed a difference. The tone is crisper and seems more open sounding. Projection seems a bit better from what I've been told. I'm still dealing with the issues on my side of the horn let alone what's happening on the other side. Thanks.
