Reeves Dynamic Mass " Chuck Findley " Mouthpiece on Ebay

Hello ... I would really like those on the TM site to give me their opinions.

I saw this mouthpiece on ebay and had a few questions maybe someone on the forum can answer for me before I decide to bid on this. I play ion a Reeves 42S69 mouthpieces now, which has a great rim for me, but the softer bight 42 does sound interesting to me which could be helpful for the harder, more commercial type jobs I may be called on to play

Also, on the Reeves site they do not list this model as a standard so I imagine it's a custom pieces, am I right? The standard DM pieces sells for $200 plus shipping so do you think Mr. Reeves would make this mouthpiece as a special order anymore?

OK ... Has anyone tried the Reeves Dynamic Mass mouthpieces and if so what do you think of them vs. a regular Reeves mouthpiece?

And ... like I said, I now play a Reeves 42 S cup so does anyone think I would bottom out on that " Chuck Findley " cup which is supposedly between a S cup and a ES cup ... I have tried the 42 ES cup and can play them for a while, but not like the S cup

Thank you for you help

BOB REEVES - " CHUCK FINDLEY " TRUMPET MOUTHPIECE - (eBay item 200176204673 end time Nov-25-07 18:30:00 PST)

So did you ever buy that BR mouthpiece? I think you can buy that model at mouthpiece express for around $140.00. That particular mp has the same level of shallowness as the ES but there is some deeping and blending work done closer to the throat so you get the same ability to play easier in the high register with the ES depth but more volume. I dont know of any way to tell if you are going to bottom out on a mp without actually playing it. (The BR SV is in between the ES and S depths) When Bob R. used to play trp. Chuck F. came in the shop and liked the mp Bob had made for himself (Bob), so much, Chuck took it to play with for himself. (So I'm told)

The Bob Reeves "Chuck Findley" model has a 43W rim, so it will be larger than the 42 you're used to.

Mouthpiece Express : - $0.00
