Any one have a Reeves practice mute? How do you like it and how's the intonation?

Thanks

The Brass Spa mute works quite well. I don't use it in ensemble, so intonation is not an issue. It is a very good mute for quiet playing and not stuffy in any register. It is my favorite practice mute.
Brass Spa makes a straight mute that is also quite good..

Re: Reeves Practice mute

I second what Wilmer said, the practice mute is very good. The straight mute is very in tune and easy to get different colors from.

Thanks Wilmer and Schawb. I have been looking for a good one for some time now. I've also hear Best Brass makes a good one, but a friend of mine said it's a bit stuffy.

I think it is impossible to make a practice mute that isn't a little stuffy. The best brass is the best I have tried.

edit- Just read Wilmer's post, I would take his word on the stuffiness over mine :)
