Certainly you guys realize that all this is available in the archives of other trumpet forums. If you find it that interesting you should propably spend a little time mining those archives. I've done it and, apparently, so has D. Bacon.

I was hoping that TrumpetMaster would have a little original discussion. The dedicated maker forums seem promising. Given a little time and continued participation, TM will develop into something unique and useful.

Dave

Still Trying is an unknown quantity at this point
I always find Dave's quotes from various sources to be quite interesting and informative. I don't know how he finds them all, but I certainly enjoy reading them.

camelbrass will become famous soon enough
I've got to agree. I think what Dave is doing is valid. I for one don't spend hours searching all the other sites..maybe that's my loss.. and I find the comments and points raised very interesting. I know one thing, I would rather a discussion based around an opinion from a respected professional about actually playing the thing than arguing about whether XYZ trumpet is the hottest item about. The discussion should come from TM members based on the opinion which Dave has located and presented. I personally think that is, or could be, a valuable resource but it's up to people to participate.

Anyway, wasn't the topic about mouthpieces?

Regards

Trevor

I'm not against what Dave is doing, BUT I think it'd be best if he used quotation marks and limite these quotes to one (usually a starter) per topic.

No one on TrumpetMaster has spoken about mouthpieces in this thread. It's all quotes.
