![]() ![]() | Re: Is their such thing as a solid gold mouthpiece? Solar Bell is a Tigers fan???? (Edited due to confession below.) Pure Gold is too soft to form. Some one asked if it was. Adding some silver and platmum may stiffen it up to machine. I would have to look into the alloy. If you try this, save the shavings. It would be easier to plate a mouth piece with a real thick coating as someone suggested. How about depleated uranium? We can probably get some of that. A really good mouth piece material would be berylium in its pure form. Just don't eat it. I listened to the 1968 World Series in third grade. My teacher was a Cardinals fan. No wonder we stopped listening after a few games. The Blues are not too popular right now. They are giving away free food to get some fans to show up.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Is their such thing as a solid gold mouthpiece? No, he isn't, not since 1968 when, by the way, Denny McLaine, Mickey Lolich and Al Kaline kicked the stuffing out of the Red Birds. Oh, and also by the way, If the Blues ever learn to play hockey, they MIGHT give the Red Wings a good game some day. -cw-

![]() | Re: Is their such thing as a solid gold mouthpiece? Norm Cash & Mickey Stanley. There were there too I think. Or maybe I've got my players and years wrong. Baseball, ugh. Raise the pitchers mound and unjuice the ball then maybe I get interested again. Richard |

![]() | Re: Is their such thing as a solid gold mouthpiece? Since the original question has really been answered...perhaps if we treat this thread like a business lunch...by at least "mentioning" the original intent...then we can count it? So...about that gold. Hmmm... From reading the posts...too expensive and soft to really make it feasible. Okay...got it.. As for those Tigers? Chuck..you mention the "ONE" time they beat St Louis in a series? 1968? Guess you didn't count the "other" time these two teams played..1934..at which the Cardinals - uh- WON. So... 2-1 in series play. Although, the Tigers have only been in it 10 times, winning 4. St Louis on the other hand? In 20 and won 11. The end... You win, hands down, in Hockey...concede. I still say you are feisty in your posts. So... the moral is... Gold = bad idea. St Louis = good. Chuck? = (all in fun, bro...)

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Is their such thing as a solid gold mouthpiece? No, no, no I only answered a question as to whether or not I was a Tigers fan. The answer was and is NO. Not since I was 16 years old in 1968. I concede, yes St. Louis is a great baseball town. I though am a hockey fan. -cw-
