I found that my technique improved when I oiled every day so I had a consistant feel on the valves. Fast valves every day. If you are doing clark studies and Arban I recommend oiling every day.

ITG did a study on valve oil so a search on their web site may be helpful. I will note that most oils were primarily water with surfactants to imulsify the very light oil. (I need a spell checker.) If anybody finds the article please post.

I have a bottle of Binak and tried it out. Too soon to tell but so far it works pretty good.
I still oil every day.
It is August 12, 2007 and I am sold on the Binak. I have had a few months to use it and I think it is much better than anything I have been using.

Re: Valve Oil

Hi,

I know that LARD makes the valves move too slow, but you can buy it in bulk at your friendly neighborhood supermarket.

I like Zaja Blue, but I don't care for the smell. I also like Blue Juice, but not at the same time with Zaja Blue.

Best wishes.

Lloyd

Re: Valve Oil

i used blue juice for awhile, my budget has me using budget valve oil (read cheap, the oil with the store's name on it) i may go back to blue juice, the valves do seem to respond better.
