![]() | Curry 1DE works the best for me. Huge sound, very comfortable rim. It has a very wide rim that extends into the cup and you can feel it. It may sound weird, but I can 'grip' that edge with my chops if I'm tired and need some help with the higher notes. My second favorite is the Curry 3Z. Huge sound, just not as big as with the 1DE. More support and a little better high range, about a note and a half higher. The Currys' have the big diameter, long shanks that the Constellations seem to play best with....

![]() | The one my 5 year old son clogged up with macaroni and cheese. Had to hold up a gig for 5 minutes while I went to the head to unclog it. I still don't know how or when he did it. Oh yes, Warbrton 5MC/M with an 8 backbore. |

| Forte User | So far, my Bach 1c. I've had it since about 1985 or so. The finish is worn off the shank where I insert it into the horn. I recentl;y came across a Mt. Vernon 7B... I've bdeen trying that with picc, but don't really do much formal picc work.

![]() | I've tried many a mouthpiece and for my money, I love the Giardinelli 7VM with a 7F gold rim. It gives me alot of cushioning without being too much for my wider lips. And it supports me when I go up into the higher register. My music insturctor gave it to me way back in 1976 and it's all I've played since. He was right, it really helps me play like I've never played before. It's been 30 years and it still does the job.
