![]() | Re: The Best Trumpet Movie Theme Ever! Wow - looked up "godfather theme trumpet" on youtube and there's a guy playing it, with a link to the printed music. COOL. Yeah, that's a good one. Wasn't it originally done on mandolin or something? That's not as cool as trumpet.

![]() | Re: The Best Trumpet Movie Theme Ever! "Damn, I thought that was closer." Ha! Gotta love the trumpet solo in the hospital scene in Star Trek IV (it uh...rushes a little...). Only like six people have probably ever seen it, but "The Rocketeer" had a really cool theme. It sometimes gets reused in trailers that come out before the movie's actual music is written.

| Pianissimo User | Re: The Best Trumpet Movie Theme Ever! Absolutely!!! This melody haunts me all of the time (it's also one of my favorite films!). I once read about the trumpet soloist, a real LA studio heavy, but one of those guys that played a lot of films but not much jazz or record dates (at least I never heard of him from that stuff) and now I can't remember his name. bigtiny |
