I had just parked in the Centre car park, was exiting my car when my sweater got caught up on the stupid hook thingy on the roof just as i was slamming the door shut! I caught the last unhurt finger in the door. I now have 1 Broken finger (polishing accident Friday) 1 Finger fractured in 2 places (polishing accident Friday) 1 finger with chipped bone (polishing accident Friday) 1 Crushed and bruised finger ( car door slam 5 hours ago) I just have the thumb on my right hand to go now, doesnt it happen in 3's? Can you believe my bad luck? Someones trying to stop me making horns! Regards Leigh |

Hi Jarrett, I have never been to Lambeau, but...the stadium is built like a bowl. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Fourteen (14) rows up is VERY close. They should love them. Her mom won't feel left out. Female Packer fans are as enthusiastic as male football fans anywhere else in the country. The truth be told, most Cheeseheads would consider me a traitor. In about three weeks I'm going to my second Vikings game of the year. My uncle is taking me again (he has season tickets). They are playing Kansas City...should be a great game. The Dome is SO LOUD. You have to experience it to believe it. Earlier I saw Minnesota beat Denver. That was before the Vikings started losing. I'll tell you one thing...those people REALLY hate Brett. All the best. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Leigh, My friend...how are you doing? I feel bad for you. Back in December 1995 I lost about 1/2" from the middle finger of my right hand. Luckily, I can still play the horn. Last December I broke two fingers on my left hand. Yes...those of us who work with our hands occasionally experience these occupational hazards. It will be "tender" for awhile, but you will heal just fine. I have been there. All the best.

Leigh, I feel sorry for you but as the saying goes, the greater the effort, the greater the reward. This is NOT to say that you should keep getting yourself hurt. :) If I were in your shoes, I would do everything to help protect my fingers (hand) while working. Surgical gloves are out of the question for they would melt and break in no time. I don't think that work gloves would help you in feeling the parts that you need to work and get close to because they would be too thick and loose; therefore, I would be making my way to a men's store that carries high level leather thin single layer gloves that fit skin tight. You'll need that thickness of skin to protect your hand. Get them to fit really tight because they will stretch a little with the work but in time they well feel just like your hand. Give it a few days to a week to adjust and you'll have to put up for yourself a note to remind you to take them off before you go to the bathroom and wash your hands. Jarrett, Maybe you could buy a football, get it autographed and give that as a present to your Mother-In-Law? Liad Bar-EL

Jarrett, I just saw your original post about Lambeau Field. It may be too late to answer, but here goes any way. My wife and I just attended a game at Lambeau on Oct. 12th. We're from Texas, and I am a died in the wool Cowboy fan. My wife, however, has been pulling for the Packers her whole life, and unfortunately the virus infected several of the kids. Two of my daughters forsook the sunny South for the frozen tundra (they moved to Green Bay), and I have now had the occasion to enjoy such things as eating in Bret Favre's restaurant, taking in the Packer Hall of Fame (where you can watch them beat Dallas's butt in the famous Ice Bowl over and over every day of the week-actually seeing the Packers do that once in real time was enough for a life time. You'd think the Packers only won that one game.), and finally my wife and I attended a Packer's game at Lambeau. My new inlaws work for a company with a permanent tail gate party in the Lambeau parking lot. They weren't going to the game, but they met us in the parking lot and took us to their tail gate party. I even wore a Packer sweat shirt, and let my wife take my picture in it. My wife threatened to divorce me, if I even mentioned Cowboys the whole day. So based on my vast experience, all the seats in Lambeau are good seats, but they have no backs on them. Your inlaws need to take a stadium seat with a back for the few occasions when they can actually sit down during the game. They ought to get there very early and spend some time in the parking lot, which is one big tail gate party every where you look. And those folks will share their food with you. There's absolutely no doubt about it, Packer fans are the greatest fans any football team ever had. The next closest are New Orleans fans. And the Lambeau parking lot does remind one of New Orleans during Mardi Gras before, during, and after the game. Your inlaws are going to have a blast!! Especially if they are Packer fans, you couldn't have given them a better present. If I lived in Green Bay, I'd still be a Cowboy fan (I've been supporting them since Eddie LaBaron was their quarterback and that's longer than most readers here have been alive), but I'd go to every Packer game I could. When you go to a Cowboy game nearly everybody has on some type of team clothing. But when you look out over the crowd, you don't just see blue and silver. There's every color imaginable there. When you go to a Packer game and look out at the crowd in Lambeau, all you see is green and gold. Everybody ought to get to attend a Packer home game at Lambeau, so they can go back home to their respective teams and know how a football game is supposed to be enjoyed.

Jarrett, If this event already happened, how did everything go? Hello?! Jarrett, are you there? Jarrett, are you still alive? Has anybody seen Jarrett? Do you know if he survived this football game with his in-laws? Liad Bar-EL

Speaking of the Cheeseheads, I am sure you all heard the news about the passing of Brett Favre's Father. We did not know if Brett would play last night. And he chose to play, and turned in one of the finest performances by any quarterback I have ever seen. Go Green Bay! Mike
