![]() | My daily driver is a 1988 Dodge Daytona. Of course that is nothing compared to a 69 Daytona, but I like it. I just overhauled the motor, front end, and heating/air. It has over 300,000 miles on it. Under the hood is a 2.5/4 cylinder with a 5 speed manual transmission. It's no muscle car, but it has lots of zip and will look great in a month or so. I took it to the body shop yesterday. When it is finished I'll post some pics. When I finish the Daytona I'll start in on my '66 Fairlane. I wanted to try this shop with the Daytona first. Also need a garage for all these cars.

| Mezzo Forte User | My last car : Yes its a rice burner but it was fast :) I did all the work (learning as I went along.) Swapped in an acura integra engine, 70hp shot of nitrous, and lots of other goodies. Amazing stereo. I loved that thing. and.... now I drive a pos ford explorer and hate every minute of it. ![]()

![]() | Here is my baby: ![]() Americans would find it to be very small but it does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 185mph (285 BHP v6 3.5L engine). It has a seven speed automatic with paddle shift / double clutch arrangement. The boot/trunk is just big enough to take a double trumpet case, overnight bag and the whole of the roof/back window when its folded down. Last edited by GordonH; 08-20-2006 at 04:16 AM. |

![]() | This is the main family car: ![]() Again, this would be considered a roller skate by American standards. I daren't show you my wifes car or you would all just laugh. Its so small, Mercedes Benz won't even market it in the USA. |

![]() | Gordon, just out of interest - how many times have you got it to 185, or even close? A friend of mine has something quick (I can't remember what) yet has only taken it above 100 a couple of times (both on track days - nothing illegal here). He has been heard to boast how fast it can go, but with speed restrictions being what they are, one might be tempted to ask what the point is. Still - great looking car though |
