Re: Enternal Rest be granted

At times like this, I like to steal from C.S. Lewis (and badly at that): "All you dad's life was but the cover and title page of the Great Book, which goes on forever, in which each chapter is better than the one before. Be blessed.

John....

My heart goes out to you. You seem like such a genuinely nice guy and have been cool to chronicle many things on this site, from your playing to your dad's health. I wish you comfort and peace. Your pops will never leave your mind or your heart.

Re: Enternal Rest be granted

Hey, John. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Tom Turner really hit the nail on the head. I lost my son in Aug. 04 and my Dad in Sept. 04. People tell me that time heals and that I should be glad that they are in Heaven. But that isn't the point, is it? Of course we are glad that their suffering is over and they are in Heaven. It is the pain of not being able to be with them that is so hard. I too look forward to the day that I go to join them, but I have people here that are counting on me now. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss them terribly. I'm sure it will be the same for you.

I will pray that God sends you strength.

Mike

Hey John,

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my Mom a few years ago, and know how it is to lose a parent. I'll say a special prayer for you and your family.

Dale
