| In no particular order. Bass Theakstone's: Best Bitter : XB : Old Peculiar Old Speckled Hen. I must say I'm quite surprised to see so many votes for ales from Americans! I thought you guys only drank lager. BTW when you say "Newcastle" do you mean Newcastle Brown Ale? I did hear that you could get that in the states but it cost about $8.00 a pint! |

| In response to Clarino-- you are right! Lager for the masses over here. Good ales and stouts, however, can be found for those of us who have progressed beyond keg stands, beer bongs, and related rituals of mass consumption. European friends of mine who have been coming to the states for over 30 years have marveled for the last decade at the availability of good beer and good coffee here. Now if we could just do something about the bread. . . And for everyone-- if you find yourself within a 250 mile radius of Kansas City look for Boulevard Pale Ale. Their Bully Porter is also quite good. Bottoms up! (Responsibly and in moderation, of course) P.S. Is it just me, or have Coors Light TV commercials for the last six months or so seemed to say "Be a tasteless, obnoxious moron! Drink Coors Light!" |

| New Friend | Yea, yea, yea...all you fancy-schmancy pseudo-intellectual beer drinkers...import this, exotics that....only availible one week outta the year-special brew...*yawn*........yea, yea, yea. Why when I see you all on a gig yer drinkin' Coors Light?...LOL My favs are cheap beers...Scmidt's, Rolling Rock, Miller Draft, Natty Boh...Black Label...etc. Baltimore's favs!!!!!.. I really don't care for Budwieser, but I drink it a lot...here's why: SCENARIO: local bar, crowded, noisy. ME: " I'll have a Newcastle Brown Ale, please, Oh Buxom Bar-Babe" BARMAID: "WHAT?" ME: " Newcastle Brown Ale, please". BARMAID: (louder, leaning ear my way) "WHAT?" ME: (louder, also) "NEWCASTLE BROWN ALE!!!! NOW!!!" BARMAID: (clearly irritated at this point) "WHAAAAATTTTT????!!!!!" ME: "BUD, please". BARMAID: "Oh, ok". This shows that in crowded noisy bars, they read your lips. They can't hear you. Might as well recite Shakespeare to the girl. That's why I drink BUD. Bob List, Baltimore, home of da Cheap beers. |

| Mezzo Piano User | It has to be Lubzer if I'm in a Pils mood. Other than that it is any type of Hefeweissen in a glass! By the way, thanks for the beer Gary. |
