Re: Footie fan or Rugby?

Football. The kind you play with your FOOT... no helmets or pads.

I haven't taken the time to understand Rugby... but I find it a little strange to have so much contact without pads... I admire the b*lls these guys have to play without pads... but I prefer a better balance between b*lls and brains.

.. and before the Americans get all their chest hairs in a weave... I played both little league baseball and organized American Football when I was little... loved playing them both... but since reconnecting with my motherland and it's culture I've really come to enjoy the fast paced action of Football (Soccer). Baseball and American Football just seem a little slow for me now.

HURLING??? Isn't that a drinking came usually played between the front door of a bar and your car?

I figured you guys would sneer.... that's why I included a link. It is claimed that HURLY predates Christianity and that it was used by the Irish as training for their warriors.

Curling? "Men With Brooms".

Re: Footie fan or Rugby?

I am with Rogerio, I really enjoy "football" (soccer).....but it doesn't diminish my love for baseball in the slightest.

BTW, the USA bought Liverpool, so I think it is time we adopt them as "our" team, eh mates?

The entire TOWN ???

I can't keep up with the news anymore. Why haven't I heard of this?
I thought for sure I would have heard that from my only news source, The Daily Show with John Stewart.

Is that where the Eclipse factory is at? Because that would figure.... the Brits are getting ahead of the American's... lets buy them out!!! LOL

God save the Queen.... and Leigh and his crew!! Pass me a warm pint governor.

You DO know that the US obtained Beckham, don't you? He is playing for Los Angeles. Better get up to speed there Rog.

FYI Rog, it is now acceptable to drink Guinness cold.

Looked at Toots' Hurly link -- it's just WWF field hockey.

Rugby is addicting because it like watching a train wreck. You don't really want to see it, but you can't stop watching! I just think "Ouch!" most of the time. It just looks like it hurts a LOT. Most of those guys have quads the size of their waists or larger!
