Stuff that is fried in lard is far superior to stuff fried in veggie oil. For those of you that are fortunate enough to live in Utz potato chip country can attest to that. They make a chip called "Grandma's Kettle Cooked" chips that are described as "unrinsed" potato slices kettle fried in lard and salted.

They are wonderful, but you eat them and it's like taking fat pills.

I guess it's true then:

Anything worth eating is bound to be fattening, and the stuff that's good for you tastes like monkey poo.

Actually, there are some pretty good, low-fat stuff out there. Too bad it costs twice to three times more than the bad stuff...
