Re: Frustrated.

But stringing those rotary valves is SO tedious.

That's how french horns are done right? What do you use for string?

Re: Frustrated.

Brem, if you can get to some steam (steam bath, steamy bathroom, boiling water, etc.) it can help break up that yeechy stuff in your lungs so you can hack it up. Keep well hydrated.

For some people, a bottle of hot Saki can do wonders! Even if it doesn't cure the bronchitis, it can provide a nice attitude adjustment.

Get well soon!

Re: Frustrated.

OK soak jalapeno peppers in vodka .... it helps if you've done this ahead of time .... just get a big bottle of cheap vodka and pop 'em in there, let it sit in your closet or someplace for a while..... cap on of course! Don't want the goodness to evaporate...

Actually, alcohol + sickness do not go well together. But peppers are your friends. Also, raw onions.

Re: Frustrated.

I always had better luck with the cough syrup with the codiene in it, except I can't think on that stuff. It made me able to stop coughing enogh to play, but since my thoughts were so fuzzy I didn't sight read well on the stuff!

Re: Frustrated.

Last month I had influenza and it left a lot of mucous in my lungs. It's taken a long time to get it out but I'm almost back to normal. In the process of recovering I found some things to be more effective than others. I didn't try peppers in vodka, but do believe the suggestions on staying hydrated and maybe getting some steam are very important.

The other thing that worked well for me was massage. I went for the massage because all the hacking and coughing made my back and chest hurt, but the massage itself flushed a lot of toxins and really put me on the road to recovery. Getting rid of those toxins will probably require more rest the following day, but it was much easier and less painful to get the crud out of my lungs following the massage.

Hope this helps, and that you're feeling better soon.
- Matt

Don't drink the whole bottle in one sitting though!

EEviac,
alcohol in sensible doses can help just about anything! You don't always need to drink it to enjoy the benefits.....
