Guys!! Don't try this at home!!

I was having a lovely discussion with my wife when things went downhill. We had a disagreement over the slightest of things. Being a trumpet player, I knew that I was right. She was entitled to her silly opinion, but that was all.

After a while it seemed as if this was going to go nowhere. Also realizing that I had a band job to go to in just a little while...and that this was the second Saturday of the month (and that would be real important when I got home that evening) I decided to end the unhappy situation.

I gathered her in my arms, got on my tiptoes to look into her eyes, (see avatar) and said;

"Sweetheart, this is so silly, I don't want to go on this way. If you will admit you were wrong, I'll admit that you were right."

A look of relief flooded over that lovely face and those beautiful blue eyes welled with tears as she said,

"Honey, I was wrong".

And I said...

"YOU'RE RIGHT!!!"
