![]() | isn't Legolas from Mirkwood? he gave the wood elves a good name, that is if I remember correctly and he's from Mirkwood, its been forever since I've read those books, used to be a fanatic about them, I was disappointed with the movies, why did they forsake glorfindel? (as you might be able to tell the fanatic has not left but is merely dormant and occasionally prodded into consciousness)

| Mezzo Forte User | I was mad that they cut out Tom Bombadil!!! I liked the movies, and I especially liked Orlando Bloom as legolas. I also liked Viggo Mortenson and the guy who played pippin. The movies were good, the books were a lot better. I wan't to live in Lothlorien if I'm an elf. That place was so...calm and beautiful!! Lara

Hey, how old can I be if I have a cell phone and can do programming. I mean really ... well .. maybe kinda old. OK, I remember the 60s, give me a break! I lived through disco -- they should give medals for that! I went to prom in a lime green leisure suit (no kiddding). And I can sing every song from the first 5 Chicago albums. Dwarf? Not at my size. But I do have a nice grey beard. Perhaps an (somewhat) older, but wise, magician. Even though when I first read "The Hobbit" I thought it would be so fun to be a hobbit. But that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away. Jim

Well, an average travelling party requires. 1: A Warrior 2: A Mage 3: A Theif/Rogue 4: A Advisor/Experienced Gandolf-esque character I am also debating about the quest. This story will take from the J.R. Tolkien world. Heck, all fantasy literature at least takes some from the universe(s) he created (I wanna read the Roverrandom SO much!). However, I will probably take form outside fantasy world sources, like the Forsakenlands, or the D&D campaigns. I am still debating. This idea, like the "TM National trumpet tour," is still in the process of forming out the chaos of my imagination. Van

![]() | So having nothing to say, I decided on this... Al Hirt was my hero for many many years. I always tried to sound like him and play like him. Now forty some odd years later all I can say for certain is I'm six feet tall and nearly 300 pounds of bearded trumpet player. Do I play like him or sound like him? Well, maybe a little, but I sure do look like him, but with more grey hair.

Gads, I can even remember my long weekend at Woodstock... the first one! (probably one of the few who stayed sober the whole time!), seeing the Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead in Toronto on the same bill, AND staying up to see the Beetles on Ed Sullivan. Now... if I could only remember where I put my short-term memory..... | |
