| Pianissimo User | Indiana Jones (SPOILER ALERT!!) Ok, as an avid Indy fan, I was super stoked with this new upcoming film, I even put myself through a midnight showing knowing that I had to be up at 6am the following day, it was totally worth right? WRONG! I was so disappointed with the movie! I will say that I didn't think the movie was all that terrible, but it certainly wasn't the same Indiana Jones that experienced during my childhood years (and recently rewatched in preparation for this upcoming film). I know it's a movie, but there's only so much of the imagination you can stretch before things just start becoming ridiculous, I mean come on, swinging through the forest with the monkeys and magically training them as your minions? ALIENS?!?!?! I mean COME ON! Well, that's my two cents, I'd love to hear what other people thought about it, thanks for sitting through the rant. |

![]() | Re: Indian Jones (SPOILER ALERT!!) Well, the ancient skull thing was pretty much shaped like an alien head. And the director is Spielberg, the same guy who directed E.T. and Transformers. Besides where else does all that advanced technology come from if it was the humans of 4000 years ago who used dart guns? The thing that bugged me the most was that the FBI was so not persistent in keeping an eye on Indiana Jones. Also that the temple seemed so similar to the one in National Treasure (with the water that fills the cave after it's been intruded in) But that's just me The sword fight was pretty funny though (especially when the cars get farther apart while Mudd/Henry III continues fighting whats-her-face, the russian lady)

If you really want to be disenchanted, go to the movie mistakes website and see all the errors and omissions you can watch for when you see the series again.

![]() | Re: Indian Jones (SPOILER ALERT!!) . Hang on there Max. :) If your suggesting there ain't no Aliens, i'd disagree. But if were talking about the skulls being significant of saving the world- likely most would agree with you. That don't sound reasonable. If i recall, the good folks at the Smithsonian Inst. came within a tenth of a percent of perfection, in establishing that the skulls that are considered 'ancient', were made fairly recently. Crystal can't be dated but the markings that were left in their being crafted are unmistakably today's world. Incidentally, i saw a ufo once. Just a big red light about two miles high, and man, was it motorin'! It crossed the sky in less than a few tenths of a second, and gone. Can't imagine what that kind of speed would come to. Looking forward to checking out the Indy Flicker Show. And that new film 'Hancock', that Will Smith is in. It looks hilarious. He's a washed up Superhero that's got a thing for the wife of the PR rep trying to restore his image. HAAAAAAA! That's already funny. - |
