![]() | Re: Which instrument is the most evil? The Evil Pig Organ....That's my Vote. Soprano Recorder......I also am self taught. The first one I had was from the Dollar Store. It did not come with a Figuring Chart. It took a while to figure out the chromatic scale for two octaves. Yet I never found it to be Evil.............Just don't ask that question of those who were around at that time. As for my Trumpet! As Dizzy was quoted saying! The trumpet is like a women.......Some days she's your best friend............and Some Days your worst enemy! |

![]() | Re: Which instrument is the most evil? OK more on the motorcycle horn (actually) buzzer thing. I was one of those motorcycle-riding terrorists who used to hang out at the Newport Beach Pier in the late 80s. So, this model of teeny bike called the YSR comes out, and at that time Yamaha was also making the FZ600, so it looked like .... well, like the YSR was the FZ's baby. So..... one day we're messin' around and discover the wonderful musical properties of the horn + hand combination, and we have great fun making sound effects purported to accompany the birth of a YSR by an FZ. MmmmWAH!! There's the handlebars! MmmmmWwwwwWAH! There's the seat! Etc. Hilarious. I have no doubt everyone else around thought was an evil instrument. I also know more than anyone else about the um, laser incident of about that time frame.....

![]() | Re: Which instrument is the most evil? I really think it's the player that makes any instrument evil.......I'd love to hear that pig organ, though! Have any of you heard that old "Concertos for Garden Hose" album? That was pretty good, too. It's been years since I heard that one...

![]() | Re: Which instrument is the most evil? There's a few different "evils" I can think of. 1) "Bad to the Bone" evil, i.e., Darth Maul evil, Vin Diesel in "Pitch Black" evil, or Evil Kenevil evil which is roughly equivalent to a "ninja" evil that we should all aspire to. Please, see "Real Ultimate Power" for a clearer definition. Bagpipes, pipe organs, and electric guitars definitely come to mind. 2) "End of the world" evil, i.e. Dr. Evil, Darth Sidious, and most major politicians. Basically, it's the end of the world as we know it and there's nothing you can do to stop the apocolyptic hellfire, brimstone, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. Bagpipes, pipe organs, and electric guitars definitely come to mind. 3) Self-centered evil. This is the classic sociopath; he's neither out for world domination nor is he sadistic in the traditional sense. He simply doesn't care about anything but himself, and can neither fathom nor comprehend the concept of suffering. A disconnected and unemotional control that leaves a wake of destruction in its path. Bagpipes, pipe organs, and electric guitars definitely come to mind.

![]() | Re: Which instrument is the most evil? Pipe organ was the favored instrument of Bach, it can't be evil. C-melody sax might be evil.

![]() | Re: Which instrument is the most evil? After giving it some more thought, I guess my vote has to go to bagpipes and drum lines. Last year was my first time performing in Norfolk's International Tattoo, and everyone was in pain and mental anguish from the non-stop practicing of drum lines and pipers! One of the bands actually put up a "no pipers" sign ( the pictures with the circle and red line - you know) and pissed them off so they played even more...didn't think that could be possible! I've gotta play at the @#$!! thing again this year - someone shoot me now, please!
