| Fortissimo User | We're not talking the same thing. Nobody is "sticking her posts" in my face. I can choose to read them or to ignore them. When I walk down the street past the newspaper boxes I can choose to put in my coins and take out a financial paper or not... just like I can choose to take the "National Enquirer" or not and just like I can choose to flip the channel on the TV or not. If I were FORCED to read the posts then it would be a different matter and I would ask the librarian to have that person removed from the library; but in this case I have the choice. I have my "TM Homepage" set to show the new posts; I could equally have the homepage set to the general "Forums" page. From either of these I can then read the threads within the different forums that I CHOOSE, not simply "all unread posts". There are many threads that I choose to no longer read; hers are but a few of these. I agree that her posts are meaningless drivel and have been getting worse (which is why I no longer read them) and I'd happily support administration if they chose to ban her from the site. I just don't think that hiding the forums is the way to go because of the technical difficulties and the loss of some good "chatting" that goes on from time to time within these forums. |
