| Forte User | Oh yeah! I just Yahoo mapped it - Glassboro, NJ is a whole 107 miles from my home. I have driven further to play gigs! Well, it looks I have no choice - now that I'm an ITG member and Glassboro is so close, I have to go to the conference. Truthfully, rather than drive up and back in the same day, which I suppose logistically I could pull off, it would be better to spring for a hotel for a night or two and really enjoy it. If I don't see some of you sooner, I hope to see you next June!

![]() | Trickg LOLOLOL! 107 miles!? It can't get much closer to you now, can it? LOL I am excited for you since it will be your first conference. Definitely plan on staying more than a day. They usually have several housing options available at reasonable prices. Also, congrats on now being a member of ITG. |

![]() | Hey Jason We might have to drive up to NJ if the airlines don't start looking up. I have already checked and Delta assured me that my ticket to Belgium in October is valid, etc *whew*.....but I can't help feeling a bit uneasy about the whole bankruptcy situation. I have an incredible airplane/travel story to share from earlier this year. I have been meaning to post it on Ed Carroll's forum when I finally get it all down on paper. (he has a "travel rant" thread) you will be laughing and crying at the same time. |

![]() | Before we organise anything concrete, we need to make sure we aren't missing any major events at the ITG - definitely worth trying to sort something nearer the time though. Anybody up for a trumpet ensemble whilst we are there? I'll bring a couple of arrangements, if wanted. 107 Miles from home - you lucky swine - yet another long flight coming up to go to this ITG - still, should be a good one - see you all there |

![]() | Count me in ! If it's not too much of a drag having a maker join you? I was hoping we could all maybe arrange the same hotels so that we will not be spread all over the place. It might make for a nicer community spirit? Regards Leigh (begging for acceptance

![]() | Back to the original post! I have met Leigh and Noel at Eclipse and they are amazing guys, and I met Pat Harbison and Dave (Londonhusker - lh) at the Jemay Aebersold Jazz camp last summer but would have liked to have talked to them more and get to know them - we were kept very busy! I also play in the same bands out here in Dubai with Trevor (camelbrass) who is a friend of mine - it's also a very small pond of adult trumpet players out here! I would love to go to the ITG but it is always in my term time (I am a teacher) so can't ever attend. I enjoy reading all about them on these forums though. Someone mentioned that ITG was worth joining just for the journals - what is in them usually and how frequent are they? I would appreciate any info on this as I will join if it is that worthwhile, Best wishes, Graham. |
