If this is the same performance, he told me that he played the whole first mvt. with his eyes closed. Is that true? He also said his sound opened up in the 2nd and 3rd mvts when his eyes were open.
Yes, JC...this is the one and it is true. I remember it like it was yesterday even though it was 10-11 years ago. Yikes! How time flies! All of us were really sweatin' during the first movement . He blossomed like a flower on the second movement and then we knew he was going to be alright for the remainder of the concerto.

mazzrick has a spectacular aura about
Glenn, (and anyone else)

In response to your question about student packages/pricing: If you're really interested in coming, there are a few hostels that are really nice. Auberge de Jeunesse is good and something like 20$ or 30$ a night. And if we're lucky, the beer might just flow freely after the concert, if the organization running the orchestra has anything to say about it. Plus there will be a another concert Sunday night that Ed's in charge of but I'll let him go into detail on that.

Might be a bit soon to get off for this weekend... I was thinking about a bit later so I have time to plan it, get chaperones & a bus, etc.

Is this going to be a permanent fixture on the Montreal scene? Do you have a website with future concert info yet?

Toots...I am assuming the checks (sorry...cheques) should be made to you?

Naaa.... by the time you pay Provincial Sales Tax in Quebec you're going to end up breaking even anyway. (aka "keep the change... you're going to need it when you get to the first brasserie").
