| Fortissimo User | Re: Prise Trumpet Specifications? Felix, I am sorry that my post comes off as though we are going after it as a "free" horn. This was not my intention and after re-reading my first post, I understand your perspective on it. By free trumpet, I was implying free to the winner, as I understand the concept of TINSTAFL. What I was meaning to say is that as a "free to me" horn that whomever wins should be grateful of it, even if they aren't able to choose the finish which they may desire. Again, I am sorry for the way my first post sounded.

![]() ![]() | Re: Prise Trumpet Specifications? Stage 1 New York 7 Bb Rose Brass 126 MM Bell Square Tuning Slide with Traditional Waterkeys 3rd Slide Removable Crook Developed as homage to a bygone era, with a sound that is still revered today. Bright, focused harmonics. Projection From the musical stages to the dance hall, this instrument has a well balanced projection. Great when mic’d near or even when in an acoustically live hall. Blend There was no time in history where balance and blend was more crucial than in the musical hey day of the 40’s. This concept is immaculately recreated in the NY 7. Fluid Intonation A standard feature on all Stage 1 models. Fluid ease of play, coupled with impeccable intonation, makes for an unbelievably effortless musical experience.

![]() ![]() | Re: Prise Trumpet Specifications? Felix- To be honest, you don't have a whole lot of traditional specs on your website. Is this on purpose? I was having a conversation about this with a friend the other night--certain companies just present their product and make you trust that it's going to work. The two that came to mind are Bose and Monette. I've never really been someone who looks at specs, I just want the thing to work. From everything I've read, it sounds like your horns "just work" (and more!). I'm excited at the possibility of owning one of these horns-thanks for doing this! -Jimi

To answer your question, I personally do not believe that posting specs will make the trumpet play better.:) I want to know what it does, and not what size parts it is made out of. All descriptions are written by playing professionals that actually use these horns every day. However the opinion may very from player to player, it simply shows how the horn performs in a real live situation. I have 2 types of clients. The players, and the buyers. Players buy,and buyers ask questions about the size.:) | |

Felix- Well put. I have enough trouble playing the trumpet and am more than happy to leave the trumpet designing/building to the pros. -Jimi
